Roam the River by Meantime Brewing x Uber Boat by Thames Clippers

'Roam the River' was a partnership between Meantime Brewing and Uber Boat by Thames Clippers for customers to explore London's best experiences and discover the city's best beer spots.

Branding

To kick-start this project, we were briefed by Meantime Brewing to give 'Roam the River' its own identity whilst staying true to the brand guidelines. Our team of designers and their extensive knowledge from working with Meantime for many years meant we were in a great position to leverage their fun, crafty credentials and deliver strong creative to roll out across the entire campaign.

How did it work?

Customers would access 'Roam the River' after scanning QR codes on board an Uber Boat via a range of point-of-sale we designed and printed. This included A4 menu adverts, window vinyls, table talkers and posters.

Our highly skilled developers created a bespoke web app where customers could see their location on a map to find fun experiences, locate the best pubs in town and see their next piers/stops.

They also had the chance to 'check in' if they bought a Meantime beer on board an Uber Boat by Thames Clippers and additionally also be able to 'check in' at any of the listed pub locations on the map. Once they had checked in 1x time on an Uberboat by Thames Clippers and 1x time in one of the listed pub venues they were rewarded a £10 Meantime beer online voucher via email.

Checking in

Customers could check in to a venue on the ‘Roam the River’ website. They simply had to open their phone camera and scan the unique QR code on a key chain that we created by printing UV transfer stickers and applying them to bespoke-cut aluminium plaques.

Digital promotion

Our digital team created a series of social media assets involving a shoot day in London to capture still photography and video content for Instagram Reels.

This content was shared across all the Meantime Brewery social media channels and collaborated with by Uber Boat. Getting the most from Meantime's partnership through collaboration was essential for our social media launch strategy as this led to maximum exposure to the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers audience.
